Blue Echohawk doesn't know who she is. She doesn't know her real name or when she was born. Abandoned at two and raised by a drifter, she didn't attend school until she was ten years old. Superschön
Nachdem mir das Buch so gut gefallen hat, wollte ich unbedingt auch das Audiobook.
Hier stimmt einfach alles. Runde Story, viel Gefühl, Spannung und interessante Wendungen.
Die Sprecherin macht ebenfalls einen tollen Job, darum gibts von mir volle Punktzahl.
Wer den Schreibstil mag, sollte unbedingt auch »Making Faces« hören oder lesen. Amy Harmon schreibt keine 15/07-Geschichten, das ist wirklich mal was anderes.

Amy Harmon's books and story telling never fails to amaze me. And never fails to give me a long lingering book-hangover after finishing the book. It lasts a couple of days before I start a new book.
Another brilliant read, experience, journey and emotional ride. First class! The novel has a serious nature and issues, even though it certainly has a love story in it. The focus is on Blue's past/history, development and here the author has thoroughly detailed Blue's inner turmoil, her uncertainties and that stark opposite of her outward approach to life conflicting from what she really feels and going through inside. And that made it difficult for her to credibly describe and express herself that made a wrong picture of what she truly is as a person and human being to others The chosen "first-person narrative perspective" makes it very easy to be able to empathize with the heroine. In addition, I found the dialogues between Blue and Darcy very profound, so that the reader is encouraged to think, absorb and reflect for themselves their own thoughts, feeling and point of views from really deep subjects of History and Literature.
And the growing romance between them bitter and sweet at the same time. With lots of witty funny moments between two lovable characters with awesome sense of humor. Especially Darcy Wilson.
The tragic life story of the heroine, who begins her life piece by piece, I allowed myself to fall into her and feel to be able to connect connect her character. Thanks Amy Harmon's magical style of writing.
I could relate to Blue in many ways character reflecting my own life's experiences and the immaturity/insecurities in that young age. It made me emphatetic of the hurt, longing and heartbreak she went through and still experiencing. And I cried at those moments. Again! Amy Harmon made me cry again. Her stories never fails to touch me and reach the deepest inner part of me. It amazes me so much .
I found the Native American myths that Blue plays in the novel beautifully embedded in the story.
I loved everything about this Novel!

A bit predictable but heart warming
