After the death of Eunice, Geoffrey's grandmother, erstwhile space explorer and entrepreneur, something awkward has come to light on the Moon, and Geoffrey is tasked - well, blackmailed, really - to go up there and make sure the family's name stays suitably unblemished.
But little does Geoffrey realise - or anyone else in the family, for that matter - what he's about to unravel. Eunice's ashes have already have been scattered in sight of Kilimanjaro. very cool book, but awful narration
I completely recommend this book to any hard sci-fi lovers, as always, Reynold's story was intriguing and very addictive.
But the narration... meh. I guess that the narrator has the impression, that if he makes some protagonists sound like mentally disabled people, this would make the story sound more appealing, but.... no. Totally overplayed and it was annoying to listen to such screwed voices, sometimes making me stop the book and collect the energy to start listening again. Another aspect was that sometimes the narrator would suddenly start speaking too quietly for no reason and this totally doesn't come in handy if you're traveling or just sitting in some louder place like a café. I would rather recommend buying this book recorded from another narrator (if such exists) or just reading it. This isn't worth the nerve.
