An important book
No matter on what side of the political spectrum you are, this is an important book of this era. However, its main message will be just as true and meaningful in 50 years as it is now.
In a time when hearing the name Trump leads inevitably to a feeling akin to boredom - because it's going to be the same thing over and over again - this book does deal with Trump, but Trump isn't the subject.
The subject is "ethical leadership". And James Comey believably tells his life's story and how the aspiration of becoming an ethical leader influenced his career.
When, in the second half of the book, Comy's career inevitably runs head on into the candidate, president elect and later president Donald Trump, his life's story and his commitment to ethical leadership serves as an impressive contrast to Donald Trump's leadership style and character.
The positive tone and outlook, with which he concludes the book, leaves the reader worried but hopeful.

Really good audiobook!
This was a very inspiring book on leadership and standing up to your values!
It also shows that even the people at the very top, who seemingly never have any trouble making decisions, go through all that inner turmoil and doubt when making tough decisions.
Also very interesting insights into how key American institutions work and interesting personal evaluations of well known people (including three presidents ;-)
Comey had (and still has, I hope) a really interesting life and knows how to tell a story well. I found it fascinating to experience political events and famous investigations through the eyes of someone who participated in them and made a credible effort to keep a neutral view on things, guided only by the law.
I really loved the book and found it very inspiring!
In many ways it reminded me of Steven R. Coveys "7 Habits of highly effective people".
A recommended read for everyone who wants to - or has to - be a leader.
I will definitely listen to it again.
