"Call me Ishmael." Thus starts the greatest American novel. Melville said himself that he wanted to write "a mighty book about a mighty theme" and so he did. It is a story of one man's obsessive revenge-journey against the white whale, Moby-Dick, who injured him in an earlier meeting. Woven into the story of the last journey of The Pequod is a mesh of philosophy, rumination, religion, history, and a mass of information about whaling through the ages. Wunderschön gelesen!

Wasn't sure which version i would download to hear but I am so glad to have downloaded this one! The story stays the same but the enthusiasm and energy and Clarity of the reader is fantastic. Really enjoyable! Each character has his own voice and mood, but not overdoing or over acting the said character,. I can only say it you want to hear one of the best classics read to you then this is really the one!! I sit in my studio working and listen while working, just lovely! Blown away. I'm only into chapter 10 and can't wait till the crew hits sea! Awesome.
