Clone Miss Marple, give 'em a heavy dose of nitrous oxide, and you've got the Brooke Sisters! Two lovely, wacky little old ladies keep finding themselves bloomers-deep in murder and mystery in this hilarious series from the Radio Repertory Company of America. Four great stories feature our heroines as inmates, contestants, linebackers, and time-travelers.

Feeble puns and lame gags within the framework of a poor excuse of a story, or rather several ones. At first I thought this might be a special edition of an old-time radio programme, when there was little choice for listeners and they had nothing better to compare this too. But no, that excuse doesn't work. The whining voices of the heroines drive me up the wall. There's no mystery behind the "crimes" and not a chuckle in the jokes. Example: "See that big crate in the corner?" "Crate Scott, that's a big crate." (shrill giggles.) Har....har......choke.
