Cole Renzo thinks his greatest challenge is to behave for the remainder of his term at Halfway House. Until he meets his new boss, Ty Calloway, a man who ticks off every box on Cole's list of interests.
A sought-after restorer and customizer of exotic and collectible cars, Ty had enough confidence to command what he wanted in life, until one fateful night changed everything. Almost two years later, he's slowly rebuilding his life with great control. He's defied the odds and works tirelessly to be the man he once was - but he still feels broken.
Cole's candor and unfiltered personality awaken Ty's barely-remembered desire to greet each new day with a smile, while Ty's unwavering acceptance of Cole's quirks and brash humor makes Cole feel as if he fits in for the first time in far too long. When a nemesis threatens Ty's personal restoration and the things he holds dear, Cole is determined to protect their relationship, even if that means sacrificing everything he's worked so hard to achieve.
But Ty will have to let his guard down, surrender control, and admit he needs Cole first, even if that puts him at risk of breaking beyond repair.
This is book three in The Men of Halfway House series. Although part of a series, this book can be heard as a standalone.

Review on "A Restored Man" - Audio Book Version
I love all the books of „The Men of Halfway House“ Series written by Jamie Reese, so I don't understand why start with Vol 3 the Audio Book version? As a true fan I take what I can get, and Mr. Tremblay's voice it the perfect choise narrating the story! But I can imagine that for other listeners not being familiar with the whole Halfway House setting and its different characters this might raise a lot of questions while listening.
What really surprised me was the last third of the story. I remember it felt like a bit too much dragging on for me when reading it. But with Mr.Tremblay's narration the car race through nightly Miami left me breathlessly listening to.
Greg Tremblay is absolutely perfect for those "hard on the outside" men like Julian, Aidan and Ty. But his voice talent does not stop there. Softer spoken characters like Matt and Jessie also come to „live“ thanks to his interpretation skills. Best of all is still Cole, though. In book 2 Cole had been mainly the one bringing comical relief to balance the chaos surrounding Cam&Hunter, so I did not expect much of him (sorry to be such a quick judge, Cole). The beanie wearing young man with his mouth running faster than his brain gets a job at the Calloway's Garage, Detective Aidan's younger brother Ty being his new boss. Mr. Tremblay does a phenomemal job voicing Cole's mouth without a social filter and changing moods!
Fingers crossed there will be a chance for the other books of this series becoming Audio Books as well. I am so curiouse already how Grey Tremblay would personalize the stories around all the other lovable characters and the world Ms. Reese has been creating with her words since the start with „A Better Man“.
