Not fish, not meat ...
Where I should start, I like Helen Llyod reading and voice and will search for another audio book she presented, but she cannot make it up.
Alexandra Marshall is an author with a long career and this is really no highlight of this career. I am sure she was never in Sarajevo, I feel no connection between this city and her. In 2009 there was beginning of the crisis, but also today in the peak of the crisis you have a great stay in Sarajevo, without secret police ... safer than most of American cities (as qualified comment as the her knowledge of Sarajevo).
I do not feel any connection between Marina and Sarajevo, it's like you go somewhere and you like it. Nothing was there, nothing ...
Most I hate if persons which are not knowing anything talking about the "Yugoslavic Catastrophe" which was a civil war between the people of different nationality. Als long the war criminals of all nationalities are heroes for their people there cannot be peace ... this book is shallow in all dimesions, and also for fiction you habe to do your homework: research!
