Good book!
I am coming from Howls moving castle and while I like this first book, I must say it didn't put a spell on me like Howl did.
It is a very serious story with war and death and magic. The magic shows up a bit late to the party and so does my love for the characters none the less would I say it's worth a read or listen.
What I didn't liked very much was that the narrator starts to sing.. but that's because I don't like his singing voice. Also he sometimes mixed up the voices of the characters which was very irritating BUT he doesn't sound boring and he made especially the climax very interesting to listen to, so I give him 4 out of 5 starts.

A marvelous book but ...
I love the story, the speaker does a good job but...he sings a lot of song snippets and it is quite hard to listen too. I found it a bit hard to listen to the music parts.
