Here's a fantastic ghost adventure story, laced with menace and humour. When a baby escapes a murderer intent on killing the entire family, who would have thought it would find safety and security in the local graveyard?
Brought up by the resident ghosts, ghouls and spectres, Bod has an eccentric childhood learning about life from the dead. But for Bod there is also the danger of the murderer still looking for him - after all, he is the last remaining member of the family.
A stunningly original novel deftly constructed over eight chapters, featuring every second year of Bod's life, from babyhood to adolescence. Will Bod survive to be a man?

"Thrilling, elegant and joyously macabre. You will love it to death." (Holly Black, author of The Spiderwick Chronicles)

Gaiman work is magical

The world Gaiman creates here is dark, but full of colours, and beautiful. It's a world suitable for children as well as 'adults' ;-p .
"The Graveyard Book" is a 'key' to imagination. And Gaiman's voice is the guide there. I was taken back to the time, when my 'Oma' and me went to the graveyard to tend the graves of some of our family. And there I had some adventure only a 5 year-old can have.
But now it is Gaiman and his work that revive those images form the past. Therefore I want to call him a Master. His story is pretty complex and yet is gives enough room for the own imagination and / or childhood experiences. That is the essence for a good read, or in this case, a good audio book!
