Great Flow!
Through this audio book much faster than I probably should have it was just a really great I listen to it pretty much nonstop for the whole time and I purchased the second one

It was ok
I listened to an Interview of Jack Carr on Joe Rogan’s Podcast. I was a bit disappointed at the beginning, but it picks up after a slow start.
I respect what Jack has done for our country and I think it’s awesome how he put his mind to writing and made it a success. I will start the second book now and see how his writing style will mature. J is

Interessante und fesselnden Story

I heard the author on a podcast,

Spannend wenn auch manchmal etwas vorhersehbar
Manche Stellen sind schon extrem brutal beschrieben (Hinrichtungen) und der offensichtliche rechtskonservative Autor versucht seine Meinung immer wieder mit einfliessen zu lassen... Alles in allem aber empfehlenswert!

Republican story
I do like the detailed and well researched plots by Gregg Hurwitz or David Baldacci. So I thought, Jack Carr would fall in a similar category. Unfortunately, this is not the case. It is a fairly linear plot following the same schema every single time the protagonist takes action. The descriptions of personalities are well written. But: Where are the surprises or the intricate strategic outlook? Where are the delicate inner struggles of the protagonist? It's just a trajectory, taken until the end. Maybe that's good for a seal, but it isn't for literature or adventure, thriller or a similar genre.
The speaker is great and rescues this audio-book.
However, my main concern is that the references to political topics which are part of the propaganda-machinery have found their way into this book, e.g. the Benghazi topic - I find this cringeworthy. So if you are a Republican, you may like this book more than if you are a Democrat. If you are independent or not even from the US, it's just irritating.
