Great book but a little light on practical recommendations

Nevertheless, everybody should read/listen to this book. Even though knowing about confirmation bias and cognitive dissonance before the book, it still changed my way of looking at business decisions and situations in my relationship.

Not a mistake to listen to this book

I gained a much better idea about the utility of the concept of cognitive dissonance reduction. The strength of the book are some very well written chapters, where the authors explain cases from religious cults, police interrogation. marriage and politics using cognitive dissonance reduction. If I should have a small complaint about the book, it would be, the sense of a liberal bias. I don't remember them bringing any examples of cognitive dissonance reduction coming from people of the left. I wasn't really captivated what they said about stereotypes either, where Lee Jusim has convinced me that stereotypes are less of the mark than previously supposed.
