Trouble is, Gil does do love. He wants romance and forever, and he's set his sights firmly on Michael. Michael's not going there again.
Yet when Michael is the victim of a vandal who's been plaguing the men working for Delta Restoration, Renovation, and Design, Gil is the first person he tells. No matter how he fights it, it's becoming harder and harder to deny he's crazy about the guy - even if that thought terrifies him. But the true fear sets in when the criminal behavior escalates, and Michael realizes he might have lost the chance to tell Gil how he feels - forever.

Review on Michael,Reinvented, Delta Restorations 2
While his best friend David and his boyfriend Jackson are totally madly sweetly in love and are forgeing a solid future together, Michael is secertly longing to having the same. But a former relationship left Michael jaded and deeply hurt, so he keeps up his hedgehog stingy appearence towards Gil's teasing. Luckily Gilbert is not only a hard working painter and brilliant facade restaurator, he is also almost inhumanly gentle, persistant and understanding, no matter how often Michael pushes him away. Due to their new founded company and a big job at an old mansion, they meet frequently and Michael catches more and more glimps of Gil's life, making it even harder not to love him. It takes the solving of the ongoing homophobic attacks against the group and a life threatening accident at the buliding site for Michael to realize what Gil truely means to him.
So glad the next book & audio book of the Delta Restorations guys are out and there is another chance meeting all the characters again I came to love since "David, Reinvented". Diana Copland's writing gift clearly deserves a star all to herself. It is so vivid and emotional and the MC s as well as all the side characters feel so natural, that you simply imagine being amoung them while reading through the pages. I must admit, quiet Manny picked my curiousity at those dramatic hospital scenes and I would love to read more about him, too, hopefully soon.
Michael Pauley did a great job again narrating this emotional roller coaster story. His lighter and petulant voice version is the perfect fit for Michael, while his deeper, warmer tone is like I always imagined Gil's voice in my head. My favourite scenes, Michael discovering Gil's mural in the paediatric oncology ward and staying at his side after his accident, were already intense in the book. But Mr.Pauley's narration really brought them alive, read so tenderly that I had to search for my keenex-box. Well done!
