Christmas 2015, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
Imagine everyone's surprise when a time portal opens up in Sydney Cove. Imagine their shock as a massive pyramid now sits beside the Harbour Bridge, glowing with energy. Imagine their fear as Cyrrus "the mobster" Globb, Professor Horace Jaanson and alien assassin Kik arrive. Finally, imagine everyone's dismay when a bunch of con artists turn up to spring their greatest grift yet.
This gang consists of Legs, Dog Boy, Shortie, Da Trowel, and their leader, Doc, who is busy making sure the universe isn't destroyed.
And when someone accidentally reawakens The Ancients of Time - which, Doc reckons, wasn't the wisest or best judged of actions - things get a whole lot more complicated....
A complete and unabridged reading by Lisa Bowerman, who plays Professor Bernice Summerfield in Big Finish's range of audio adventures.

just one little flaw...
...that could have been sooo easily avoided!
I usually like when Non-Germans use German words, a) that's really cute and b) since I like the language I'm happy when others like it, too. I know it's not the easiest of all languages, having "der", "die" and "das" instead of only "the". But if you write an official BBC-Doctor-Who-look-it-is-printed-and-sold-worldwide book you really could ask someone if spelling and grammar are ok, couldn't you? Since I had the audiobook, I don't know about the spelling, but "the glamour" is not "die Glanz" but "der Glanz" (you could have easily looked that up in any dictionary) and if you say something like "getting hold of the glamour" you would even have to say "getting hold of den Glanz", never "die Glanz".
BUT, nevertheless, it is a highly enjoyable story with a very twelve-ish Doctor and a very interesting bunch of companions (I didn't know Bernice Summerfield, I'm still in the 1960s concerning the Classic Who), and it was perfectly read.
