Beschreibung

Two years have passed since Jacen Solo, seduced by the dark side and re-anointed as the brutal Sith Lord Darth Cadeus, died at the hands of his twin sister, Jaina, Sword of the Jedi. For a grieving Han and Leia, the shadow of their son's tragic downfall still looms large.
But Jacen's own bright and loving daughter, Allana, offers a ray of hope for the future as she thrives in her grandparents' care. And when the eager, inquisitive girl, in whom the Force grows ever stronger, makes a curious discovery aboard her grandfather's beloved spacecraft - the much overhauled but ever-dependable Millennium Falcon - the Solo family finds itself at a new turning point. Together they must set out on an odyssey into uncertain territory, untold adventure, and unexpected rewards.

Well...

Marc Thompson will always be one of the most talented readers I've ever heard. Yet even Marc can't change the quality of this recording (from time to time the record stops or skips up to two minutes so you don't have the entire story to listen to). And additionally, the story is not as striking as I am used to by James Luceno. The story's exposition and main part are captivating and well written yet the end feels like it was written in a rush.

Disappointing - Poor Quality of the Audiofile

This story is clearly a filler between LOTF and FOTJ. The story about the previous owners of the Millenium Falcon is not very exciting. Mostly it appears like short stories linked together by some uninspired pages.
For most parts of the book nothing interesting happens. There are lots of places and characters but they are not well made. They stay flat and you don't want to know more of them. Because of time jumps between different Clone Wars and Civil War you can get confused easily. The end of the book is too fast. It is quite surprising that it is over and you still keep asking yourself what's all this about.
I think there were lots of interesting stories about the Falcon but this is just not done properly. Maybe three books would have given the author time to develop something like a plot. In this case there is no real plot and you just get a rough connection between LOTF and FOTJ.
Additionally the file seems to be corrupted. There are parts that can't be played. Usually only for maybe 20 - 30 seconds, but it appears several times and this is also very annoying. I will try to contact audible about this issue and maybe it can be fixed.
I love Star Wars but this book is not on my personal Top 1000 list ;)
For collectors like me it might be useful for the completion but not for entertainment or Information.
