You'd wish the history was longer

In a spectacular way, the author takes you in a journey through time (and space for that matter), that you'd wish would last for much longer than the short few hours the book lasts for.
The topics are very complicated, but the presentation makes the rapidly increasing complexity seem effortless and smooth. I do admit not having understood all of what was presented, but I do not believe the author's aim was to make me a specialist. His aim was to familiarise me with with the big issues for me to go out and do my own research. Not than he did not explain them well, but simply because a short history of time would not be so short if the explaining was too detailed.
All in all a wonderful book than I would recommend to any one with interest in the universe he/she lives in.
