teilweise sehr packend!
Hörbuch hat mir super gefallen. Zwischendurch mal gab es Längen, wenn zuviel überlegt wurde. Klar, die Beschreibung der Gedanken war meistens wirklich ein Plus des Buches, aber gelegentlich wurde es m.E. etwas langatmig.
Der Humor im Buch war richtig lustig und ungewöhnlich. Ich mochte schon 'Am I normal yet'. dachte dann, wie kann so eine in der Zusammenfassungen mega normal klingende Geschichte wohl überzeugen? ging aber. der Teufel steckt eben im detail... . klare Kaufempfehlung!

TW sexual violence/EDs
I wish this book would have come with a trigger warning for sexual violence and ED. There are pretty detailed descriptions of it although the author doesn't mention numbers. I feel like there are a lot of issues, not just these, that the book could have gone into more detail with but didn't. It's really disappointing at some points especially knowing from the author's other work that she is very good at dealing with difficult subjects in her stories.
I found it really hard to keep going sometimes because the situation the characters are in is hard to bear and the pace is too slow for my liking. The characters are very real and three dimensional though. I loved the ending but really hoped it would have not been this open and painful to get there. But maybe that was the point?! I really hope there is a part two though. I love Holly Bourne as a writer and would love to see how Torrie's life unfolds now that she's made it through.

narcissistic self-indulgent nonsense
I am so disappointed to have stuck with this book waiting for a plot-turn that never came. the protagonist of this book is such a childish, narcissistic idiot, it was frustrating to listen to. the narrator's voice probably did not help, since she sounded so incredibly insincere, it often made me cringe.
