I truly love this.
This is such another one of those well loved books that I finally decided to pick up. And I was worried that my luck would run out and I would end up hating the book instead of loving it. The beginning of the book wasn't that promising, to be completely honest.
I get why there was this big time jump in the beginning, but I would have truly loved to see more of the sisters after everything terrible happened, how they handled the new world. I mean we got glimpses of it, but I would have loved a bit more.
There were also moments that made my skin crawl because I just felt really uncomfortable with some scenes and what some of the characters did to my baby Jude. Ugh.
But. While this book has it's problematic moments, I totally realize and am not denying them. This book got me out of a reading slump.
I loved the writing/the narrator for this book. I loved the story. I just love diving into fae worlds. I loved the characters, most of them. Some of them. FINE, I mostly just loved Jude and Vivi. BUT I LOVE THEM A LOT. For all I care, all the men in the book can go to hell. Except for Oak, duh, he is the most adorable.
I can't wait to start the next book.

I didn't expect this to turn out so intriguing!
Truly, I was surprised by how good this book was! I loved Jude being a flawed character, struggling with her weaknesses and desperately trying to conquer them. She's full of anger and I feel it. Also, I loved that this book included a lesbian relationship, there should be more inclusive books like these. All relationships were so interesting. And all the twists in the second half - truly unexpected. Loved it!

Marvelous written indeed...
I really enjoyed it every single minute. The character development of many is clearly visible and the story unfolds itself very naturally. Can't wait to listen to the sequel! 😊

Huge Fan!
I love this tale, I have always been fascinated with fairy stories and this one is both exactly how I would imagine one and at the same time interesting, unexpected, exciting, emotional and beautiful. I could not stop listening is, it certainly helps that Caitlin Kelly is an amazing speaker!

So intriguing!
"But I am done with being weak. I am done with being good. I think I am goinng to be something else.”
I have relistened the Folk of Air Trilogie. And I cheer for Jude. The stubborn mortal who defies the arrogant Fairie prince Cardan. The girl who decided if there is no place for her she would make space.
At many times while listening I have hold my breath. And grinned while Jude and Cardan exchange honeyed declarations of war.
Holly Blacks Elfhame is equally beautiful and scary. A world that fully magnified me.

A masterpiece
I love all the books in the series to pieces and they are even better on audio. What Caitlin Kelly gives this story is nothing short of amazing with all the believable emotions put into the performance and all these many different, recognizable voices for the characters. Absolutely recommend!

I just dont like the narration
Its a great story but i hate the way the narrator takes such a long break after every sentence. The righting style is also just a bit confusing…Cant listen to this at all….

absolutely worth the wait
