I have a Kindle and Audiobook combination of the novel. The sad and tragic story of Taylor made me curious and wanting to experience her world. I knew I would be emotionally be driven. And the story made me laugh, made me cry that much (especially when you are hearing the audiobook).
It's about tragedy, it's about guilt, it's about experiencing life and to live like it was your last. It's about giving up and letting go.... battling with.... holding on and fighting to stay. It's about dying and Death.... Life, Love and Hope. As long as you live, there is hope to finding love. It is in love that one finds the strength and will to fight to live for that love. This is Taylor's journey, giving-in and embracing to the fate that awaits her given by her reaccuring brain tumor. Embracing death and not fight to it so she can join the tragic deaths of her family with the guilt that is eating her up more than the cancer cells eating her body. Death would be sweeter than to go on living without her family and the guilt. But before joining her family, she flies to London to fulfill her bucket list she started during her first battle of cancer at 16. She has 2 weeks. And as if fate was intruding, she met Liam who fulfilled her hottest wishes on her list, ending up helping her to fulfill the rest of the list without knowing Taylor's plan of dying. The unexpected happened for both as falling in love with each other got in their way. Which made it hard for Taylor to say goodbye for good. It wasn't planned and not to her list. But the guilt piled up even more as saying goodbye to Liam would mean break her and his heart apart. Especially Liam who is left in the dark by Taylor's grave illness. She will not like to tell, she prefers to end the 2 unforgettable weeks of her life before going back to Boston and die. Leaving Liam memories of her as being alive. That is the ending Taylor wants. But life gets unpredictable turns that didn't go the way she planned it to end. I enjoyed the book/audiobook so much.
