Being the only Nightmare at Arkwell Academy, a boarding school for magickind, and living in the shadow of her mother’s infamy, is hard enough. But when Dusty sneaks into Eli Booker’s house, things get a whole lot more complicated. He’s hot, which means sitting on his chest and invading his dreams couldn’t get much more embarrassing. But it does. Eli is dreaming of a murder.
Then Eli's dream comes true.
Now Dusty has to follow the clues - both within Eli’s dreams and out of them - to stop the killer before more people turn up dead. And before the killer learns what she’s up to and marks her as the next target.

A real Nightmare?
4.5 stars to the first installement of the Arkwell Academy series.
I really loved the twists and turns the plot took as well as the steady, fast pace the novel had. It's a real quick read when you like fantasy detective stories. ;)
Dusty is a nightmare - literally. She is one of only a few of her kind of magickind and the only Nightmare student at Arkwell Academy - a Highschool for magikind. Not only is she the definition of outsider at her school anyways, she is also now charged with identifying a killer as she witnessed the death of one of her fellow students when she was feeding on someone's dream.
But will Dusty and Eli,the boy she fed on, be able to find the killer before he finds them?
At times I had trouble listening to the narrator as her voice sounded much too childish for my liking (and to be a 16 year old girl). Also she was not very good at giving distinctive voices to the other characters apart from Dusty, so that it became confusing at times.
